Sonowal obliges little girl's plea with autograph

GUWAHATI, June 22: Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal appreciated the sentiments of young Yashvi Khemani, a Class V student of Holy Child School, Guwahati.

Yashvi in her letter expressed her feelings as to how she felt when Sarbanda Sonowal became the Chief Minister. “I greet you heartily with congratulations and best wishes for occupying the highest position as our Chief Minister. Sir, we were so happy when the results were declared that we started dancing with joy on your great success,” she said.

She exuded optimism that under the leadership of Sonowal ‘Assam will be a most healthy and prosperous State in the coming years’.

Expressing his profound thanks ‘for your kind sentiments and good wishes expressed on my assumption of office’, Sonowal to her query whether he can ‘spare some time for me and send your autograph and photograph for my sweet memories despite increased responsibilities,’ replied, “I know my responsibilities have increased manifold but still I have enough time for youngsters like you on whom I have great hopes and expectations, as it on your shoulders the future of our State hinges.”  The Chief Minister, while wishing Yashvi the very best in all her future endeavours, obliged to the little girl’s plea by giving an autograph on his coloured photograph for ‘her sweet memories’.
