The number of dengue patients in other districts in the State are four in Barpeta, ten in Darrang, seven in Dhubri, 38 in Dibruagarh, eight in Goalpara, two in Golaghat, one in Hailakandi, eight in Morigaon, 17 in gaon, 30 in Jorhat, six in Lakhimpur, four in Tinsukia, 37 in lbari, 15 in Kamrup and seven in Udalguri. In a statement issued to the press, APCC secretary Imdad Hussain said that the Health Department has failed to act promptly, and the fogging is just an eyewash. “There’s no proper fogging in the affected areas in the State. The State government should take proper measures to fight the particular species of mosquito causing dengue,” Hussain said, and added: “The government should own the responsibility of those who have died of dengue in the State so far.”
