'Sparrows can adjust in Assam'

By our Staff Reporter
GUWAHATI, March 20: The Kaziranga Wildlife Society observed the World Sparrow Day at Gauhati Press Club today. A documentary on sparrow was exhibited at the programme that showed that unlike rest of the world sparrows could survive in Assam by adjusting themselves with the ever-changing environment.  As part of the World Water Day slated for March 22, a semir was organized at the programme today with former B Barooah College Principal Dr. Dinesh Baishya in the chair. Dr. Daishya said: “Water makes the most important issue in global economy. Countries and multitiol companies that will have hold over water will prosper on all fronts. Even as we’re not aware of the rising importance of water, experts feel that the third world war, if any, will be fought for water.” Many other speakers also deliberated on the occasion.
