Traffic diversion for mami Brahmaputra

GUWAHATI, March 29: On March 31, 2017, movement of all heavy commercial vehicles coming towards Guwahati through different tiol Highways are to be regulated from 8 am onwards. This special arrangement has to be made in view of mami Brahmaputra Festival.
All other vehicles (light vehicles, all commercial vehicles, city buses and other long distance buses) will be regulated in time before arrival and departure of VVIPs from the respective venues. 
Inside Guwahati City: During the iuguration of mami Brahmaputra Festival and movement of VVIPs, movement of the vehicles will be regulated on t March  31, 2017 to ensure safety of general public, particularly the vulnerable road users like children, students, women, senior citizens, differently abled persons other vehicle users, the VVIP and other dignitaries on the roads. 
Regulation of vehicles shall be as follows:
1.No goods carrying vehicles shall be allowed to ply or park on tiol Highway 37 (from VIP Chariali to Jalukbari Rotary), DG Road and MG Road during the iuguration programme.
2.All vehicles coming from Bharalumukh side will be diverted at Apollo Point via HB Road and AT Road (City Buses will be diverted via AT Road).
3.All vehicles coming from Panbazar side via MG Road will ply as usual. All commuters coming and going out of the city and airport goers should avoid MG Road and AT Road. They should use the NH 37 for the purpose.
4.All passengers carrying vehicles will be regulated in time as per requirement.
5.All the buses which will be run specially for bringing the spectators should come via Jalukbari and Bharalumukh and go to the tiol Highway for parking after alighting the spectators near Soram field. They should avoid the main city roads like GS Road, AT Road. 
6.Buses carrying spectators coming from Jalukbari side to the venue will be regulated at Shantipur and after dropping the spectators, the buses will be diverted to Jalukbari for parking on the service road.
7.Buses carrying spectators coming from GS Road side to the venue will be regulated in front of Handique College and after dropping the spectators, the buses will be diverted to Tayabullah Road to Rupgar for parking.
8.All vehicles which are more than ten (10) wheelers shall be restricted from Khapara to Jalukbari during day time. They shall move only after 10.00pm to 8.00am.
mami Brahmaputra Festival Venue and parking magement:
Parking places are -(i) Old Jail campus, (ii) Iddgah Field, (iii) Soram field,                (iv) Kedar Road
1.The vehicles users coming from Jalukbari side towards mami Brahmaputra festival venue are requested to park at Soram field and Idgah field.
2.The vehicles users coming from GS Road via B. Baruah Road will be allowed to park at Old Jail Campus, Kedar Road. They can go via HB Road to park these vehicles and reach the venue.
3.Vehicles users coming from Chandmari side via Uzanbazar are requested to park at Jail premises, Kedar Road.
