Vigilance Awareness Week observed in NRL
GUWAHATI, Nov 14: Vigilance Awareness Week, 2016 was observed at Numaligarh Refinery Limited in a befitting manner and with great enthusiasm from October 31 to November 5 in line with directive from Central Vigilance Commission with the theme ‘Public Participation in promoting Integrity and eradicating Corruption”.
The observance of Vigilance Awareness Week in NRL commenced with the pledge taking ceremony on October 31 at the Administrative Building of the Refinery. The pledge was taken in Hindi, Assamese and English by the employees in the presence of A.K Bhattacharya, Sr. GM (HR), M.R. Baruah, Sr. GM (Project) and other senior officials along with employees of NRL.
The main function of the Vigilance Awareness week was held on November 4 in the refinery, which was jointly presided by S.R.Medhi, Director (Technical) and S. K. Barua, Director (Fince). In his address, S K Barua, Director (Fince) stressed on the need of public participation in prevention of corruption and suggested measure to create awareness among the general public. S.R Medhi, Director (Technical) emphasized that corruption is a serious unethical practice and that all stake holders including Government, citizens and also the private sector is responsible for creation of awareness of corruption as well as refrain from indulging in unethical acts.
Observance of the Vigilance Awareness week in NRL was concluded with a vigilance awareness session organized at CISF unit, Numaligarh. This was stated in a press release.
