Viswakarma Puja held with much fervour

GUWAHATI, Sept 18: Viswakarma puja was held with much fervour and enthusiasm across the city on Saturday. Devotees thronged the temples and mandaps on the occasion and garaam (ritual of offering prayer) was held in some places. Premises of media houses, offices, industries, showrooms, workshops and garages were illumited with lights and celebration took place till late night on the occasion. People cleaned and washed their vehicles and offered prayers before them for their longitivity. Singers graced the occasion and took part in the cultural evenings in various places of the city.
