Wall magazine iugurated

MIRZA, Sept 18: An iugural ceremony for the (college) wall magazine ‘The Newsier’ was held on September 14 at Center for Media Studies of D.K College, Mirza.

The wall magazine was iugurated with traditiol ribbon cutting by the Vice principle Dr. Phanindra Thakuria himself.

The program started on the arrival of College Vice Principal and former HoD of Education Dept. Dr. Indira Saikia. Asst. prof. of the Center Sailen Das (HoD) and Girin Deka were also present. The members of the wall magazine were also present in the event.

Dr. Saikia gave a speech on the purpose and importance of a wall magazine and its influences on student life. Her speech also included how it would encourage not only students or faculties. “It is a platform for every individual present in this institution,” Dr. Saikia said.

The Center for Media Studies was established in the year 2014 and it has been working simultaneously for the development of folk art through puppetry and street play. It has been also taking part in creating a better media person in today’s world.
