 Applications are invited from Indian citizens for filling up of posts of Scientist 'C', 'D' and E levels in India Meteorological Department Ministry of Earth Sciences (Proper) on direct recruitment basis as per following details. IMD Post Details, Salary Scale Given below:-

IMD Qualification Criteria for Scientist D Vacancy: 

Master's Degree in Science from a recognized university in Physics or Mathematics or Chemistry or Meteorology or Atmospheric Science/Atmospheric Physics or Oceanography or Geophysics (with Meteorology) or equivalent subject from a recognized University/Institute with at least 60% marks at the qualifying degree level.

Master's Degree in Science from a recognized university in Agricultural Meteorology/ Agricultural Physics or equivalent subject with at least 60% marks.

Master's Degree in Science from a recognized university in Computer Science or Computer Applications/ Information Technology or equivalent subject with at least 60% marks at the qualifying degree level. or Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University in Computer Science/ Information Technology or equivalent subject with at least 60% marks at the qualifying degree level.

Selection Process for IMD Scientist D Job Openings: 

 The prescribed essential qualifications are minimum requirements and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview. If the numbers of applications, received in response to advertisement are large, it will not be convenient or possible to call all candidates for interview. Hence, India Meteorological Department/ Ministry of earth Sciences may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview before Selection Board to the reasonable limit through screening process.
