Applications are invited from eligible candidates who are citizens of India for filling up the post of the University as indicated below with the following terms and conditions:

Educational Qualification:

Academic Qualification: Master's Degree in any discipline with at least 55% of marks from a recognised University.

And

Diploma in Stenography on Modern Office Management from a Govt. recognised Institution with a shorthand speed of 120 words per minute. Computer proficiency with high level familiarity with commonly used package like MS-word, MS-Excel, MS-Powerpoint etc. are mandatory with knowledge of Assamese language.

OR

Graduate in any discipline with at least 55% of marks from a recognised University.

And

Experience: Minimum 5 (five) years working experience in relevant field in State Government/Central Government/Public Sector Undertaking is essential (for Master degree candidates)

OR

Minimum 10 (ten) years working experience in relevant field in State Government/ Central Government/Public Sector Undertaking is essential (for Graduate candidates)

Age: Minimum age should be 18 years and Maximum age of 44 years as on 01/01/2018. Relaxation of 5 (five) years in age for SC/ST candidates.

Pay: Rs. 30,000 — 1,10,000 + Grade pay: Rs. 13,300/-) ( 7th Pay Scale Revised)

Application Fee: Rs 1000 only [50% for reserved category] to be paid online or demand draft.

Mode of selection: Through interview and skill test.

How to apply: Prescribed application form may be downloaded from the ASTU websitewww.astu.ac.in. A candidate should not submit more than one application. The envelop sending the application should be superscribed "Application for the post of "Name of the Post (Post code)" on the top of the envelope addressed to The Registrar, Assam Science and Technology University, Tetelia Road, Jalukbari, Guwahati-781013. The size of the prescribed application form is approximately 21cm x 29.7cm (A4 size).
