ICAR Reserch Complex for NEH Region Krishi Vigyan Kendra, West Garo Hills, Meghalay, Tura is recruiting qualified candidates for filling up the vacant position of Young Professional-II (YP-II) on a contractual basis. Eligibility

M.Sc Agriculture/Horticulture/RD AP/Any branch of agricultural Sciences.

Work Experience: Working experience in projects related to climate change.

Selection and Application Process

Eligible candidates are invited to appear for "Walk-in-Interview" for one contractual post of YP-II to be held on 18th November 2022 at 11 AM. onwards in the office of ICAR- Krishi Vigyan Kendra, West Garo Hills, Tura.

Candidate should bring an application with full bio-data addressed to the Senior Scientist and Head(I/c), KVK, ICAR, Sangsanggre, Tura. P.O Dobasipara, West Garo Hills, Meghalaya -794005 enclosing photocopies of certificates and mark sheets from HSLC onwards duly attested. A recent passport-size photograph should also be affixed on the application's top. Candidates are required to bring the relevant certificates, mark sheets, etc. in original for verification.

About ICAR Research Complex for N.E.H. Region

The ICAR Research Complex for North Eastern Hill Region (ICAR RC NEH) was established on 9th January, 1975 under the aegis of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). This is the first of its kind set up by ICAR, which encompasses all the disciplines of agriculture, horticulture, animal sciences, agricultural engineering, agroforestry, fishery and social sciences to cater to the research needs of the tribal areas of NEH Region including Sikkim.

The headquarter (HQ) of the institute is located in Meghalaya (Barapani), while its regional centres are located at Basar (Arunachal Pradesh), Imphal (Manipur), Kolasib (Mizoram), Jharnapani (Nagaland), Lembucherra (Tripura) and Gangtok (Sikkim). The institute has 15 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) attached to different centres and HQ for providing on/off campus training to the practising farmers, school dropouts and farm women in the field of agriculture and allied sectors.
