Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Wildlife & Chief Wildlife Warden, Meghalaya invites eligible candidates for a walk-in-interview for engagement on a contract basis to the positions of Senior Biologist (2 nos.), Biologist (4 nos.) and Technical Assistants (2 nos.) for a period of six months. 3. Desirable Qualifications Ph.D. in any of the afore-mentioned disciplines
B. BIOLOGIST

2. Essential Qualifications Graduation with first class in the field of Wildlife Science/
Zoology/ Forestry/ Ecology/ Landscape Ecology / Botany/ Life Sciences from a recognized University with a minimum two years research/field experience in a Protected Area or a research project related to wildlife
3. Desirable Qualifications Masters Degree in any of the aforementioned disciplines
C. TECHNICAL ASSISTANT

Essential Qualifications Graduation in the field of Wildlife Science/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Ecology/ Landscape Ecology / Geo-Informatics/ Botany/ Life Sciences/ Humanities/ Geography/ Geo-informatics from a recognized University having good working knowledge of MS Office and minimum experience of six months of working in Government agencies or multilateral/ bilateral projects
3. Desirable Qualifications Masters In Geography or Post Graduate Diploma in Geoinformatics or working knowledge of Arc GIS, ERDAS, QGIS, etc.

How to Apply for Meghalaya Forest Department Job Opening 2021:  

Interested candidates may, along with the application in original in a format given in the detailed notice and the certificates in original in support of their educational qualification and experience, report for the interview at 11.00 AM on 19th March 2021 at Mini Auditorium in Sylvan House, Lower Lachumiere, Shillong 793001 Meghalaya.

A scanned copy of the application in PDF format along with a copy of certificates in support of the educational qualification and experience may be emailed at Meghwldbebgauul tom not later than 4.30 PM on 1841 March 2021.

All such emails shall be sent under the subject 'Application for walk -in interview on 19.03.2021 for engagement to the position of on contract basis".

All original documents in support of the educational qualification and experience should be produced at the time of the interview.

If it is found that an attempt has been made by the applicant to wilfully conceal, misrepresent or canvass the facts, his/her candidature will not be considered.

Selection Process for Biologist/Technical Assistant Vacancy:

The engagement shall be purely on a contract basis. The CWLW reserves the right to terminate the engagement at any time without any prior notice and without assigning any reason thereof.

The Selection of the candidates will be based on the performance in the interview to be conducted by an Interview Committee to be constituted by the CWLW in the order of merit as decided by the Interview Committee.

The decision of the Interview Committee in all matters relating to the eligibility and work experience will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondences will be entertained from any individual in this regard.

The Interview Committee shall reserve the right to reject the candidature of any applicant in view of incomplete information provided by the candidate or for any other reason.

The list of selected candidates will be displayed on the website of the Forests and Environment Department, Government of Meghalaya (http://megforest.gov.in). The successful candidates will be informed through email at the email ID given in his/her application to join the position.

In case a candidate fails to join the position within IS (fifteen) days from the date given in such communication, the position will be offered to the next candidate in the order of merit decided by the Interview Committee without making any further correspondence with such defaulting candidate.

Depending upon the availability of funds and actual work requirements, the Chief Wildlife Warden reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of positions.

No TA or DA or any other amount of whatsoever nature will be payable to the candidates for attending the interview.
