The NORTH EASTERN POLICE ACADEMY (erstwhile the Regional Police Training College) is an establishment of the Govt of India, under the Ministry of Home Affairs. It is situated in Ri-Bhoi District of Meghalaya. The Academy started functioning from July,1978. It is engaged in shaping police officers for equitable, effective and sensitive policing. It is dedicated to teaching the police personnel of North Eastern States and from across the country to safeguard the value of freedom - freedom from disorder, criminal acts and criminals.
1. To impart one year basic training to the directly recruited Police Officers of the rank of Sub Inspector and Deputy Superintendent of Police of North East States.
2. Design and offer a number of different types of in-service training programmes for Police personnel of all states of India.
3. Design and offer courses which will bring Police Officers in close contact with Officers of other Departments like Judiciary, Armed Forces, CAPF, Prison Department, Customs and Excise, etc.

i. Pay Level-2 in the pay matrix @ Rs. 19,900- 63,200/- (Remuneration for other than retired personnel: Rs. 26,069/- i.e. Basic + DA @ 31%). ii. Remuneration for the personnel retired from Govt. service will be fixed as per their "Last pay drawn minus monthly pension before commutation plus Transport Allowance allowed not exceeding the rate applicable to the appointee at the time of retirement". |
i. . Pay Level — 6 in the Pay Matrix @ Rs. 35,400- 1,12,400 (Remuneration for other than retired personnel: Rs. 46,374/- i.e. Basic+ DA @31%). ii. The candidates should report to the selection board on 27th January, 2022 at 10.00 hrs for Walk-In-Interview, selection test/course of action along-with duly filled-in application and copies of all supporting documents including copy of Pension Payment Order issued by the government (if retired) and copies of educational qualification certificates and experience certificates, etc. in original.
