26/11 survivors recount their tales in new book

New Delhi: A new book is being published by Penguin Random House India and The Indian Express to mark the 10th anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Titled “26/11: Stories of Strength”, the book builds on ten years of reportage on Mumbai’s terror survivors to find single mothers attending night school to get an education, children daring to dream big despite losing a parent and ageing parents finding new purpose to live after losing their sons.

The book is divided into 10 chapters, with each throwing light on the life of survivors after the Mumbai attacks in 2008, in which 164 people were killed and over 300 wounded. It carries a Foreword titled “The Power of the Moderate” by Amitabh Bachchan and has been introduced by Anant Goenka, Executive Editor of Indian Express Group. (IANS)
