Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan donates Rs 5 lakh each for Pulwama martyr’s families
Guwahati: Continuing his acts of good deed and elevating humanity, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has once again tried to bring a smile into the face of a group of ill-fated people. This time, Bachchan has donated Rs 5 lakh each to the families of 49 CRPF jawans who were martyred in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama in a terror attack.
Before this gesture of love and generosity, Mr. Bachchan had paid off the loans of 2100 farmers from Bihar just a few days back. It was then only he had mentioned it in his blog that another responsibility is to be fulfilled by him shortly and certainly, he was speaking about the families of the Pulwama martyrs.
After making the donations, senior Bachchan wrote, "Another promise fulfilled .. I had wished to give some monetary gesture and consideration to the family .. I did .. The distribution is done under the aegis of the CRPF seniors, for the brave hearts were from the CRPF .. It took a while to get the names and addresses of those that lost their lives, but our efforts were fruitful, even when we had given the intention, and sought advice or indication of how I could help them .. Finally it came from the GOI as well as through personal account …"
After posting the details of his great deeds, Bachchan also shared pictures of him and his children Sweta and Abhishek along with the kins of the martyrs.
Notably, the Pulwama terror attack is considered as one of the worst terror attacks on military personnel in the world. Before this, another severe attack had taken place in 1989. In the last incident of terror attack on the military personnel, a Jaish-e-Mohammad suicide bomber had rammed his vehicle into a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bus. His vehicle was packed with explosives that exploded immediately after being hit to the bus.
