The Centre has decided to sign a peace accord with all the other armed rebel groups and civil society organizations of Nagaland soon, ignoring the NSCN (IM)'s stubborn demands for a separate flag and constitution.

As per sources, a section of NSCN (IM) led by Th Muivah is yet to give their confirmation about if they would sign the peace accord or not. But the government has said that it is their call if they want to sign the peace accord as all the other stakeholders have approved the 'final draft agreement' which is aimed at bringing an end to the decades-old insurgency in Nagaland.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the negotiation between Naga rebel groups on all issues has been concluded and that a consensus has been reached for signing the peace accord and a draft agreement has been finalized.

Meanwhile, the security sources said that Interlocutor and Governor R.N Ravi is currently in New Delhi to finalize the draft agreement. Further, sources also disclosed that talks between the NSCN (IM) led by General secretary Th Muivah and Intelligence Bureau (IB) officers concluded about 10 days back.
