Guwahati: Hero MotoCorp has announced that the company has handed over two first-responder vehicles to authorities at the Community Health Centres in Neemrana and Mundawar, in the Alwar district of Rajasthan on Wednesday.

It has been reported that the primary responder autos are a part of the corporate's Company Social Accountability (CSR) initiatives towards COVID-19 efforts These particular first responder vehicles have been based on Hero Xtreme 200R motorcycles.

The company also stated that these utilitarian vehicles will be convenient for reaching out to patients in rural and remote areas and moving them to the nearest hospitals. The particular Hero Xtreme 200R motorcycles are designed as custom-built with a host of accessories.

Notably, the First Responder has been equipped with a full stretcher with a foldable hood mounted on the side, essential medical equipment like a detachable first-aid kit, oxygen cylinder, fire extinguisher, as well as other safety features such as LED Flasher Lights, foldable beacon light, emergency wireless public announcement system, and siren, claims the two-wheeler manufacturer.

It is to be mentioned that the Hero Xtreme 200R is powered by a 199.6 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which makes 18.1 bhp of maximum power and 17.1 Nm of peak torque. The engine is a two-valve unit, and power is emitted to the rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox. The extra weight of the first responder vehicle is expected to make the engine work harder.
