Modi government forcefully retires 22 'corrupt' senior officials in "public interest"

Corruption and corrupt officers have no place in the Modi government regime and proving that once again, the government has passed an order of dismissing 22 senior officials who were employed as Superintendents. The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) made the corrupt officers retire forcefully.

As stated by the CBIC, the forceful retirement of the senior government officers is done in "public interest" on being found involved in corruption. However, this is not the first time as before this in June as well, 27 high ranking IRS officers were retired by the government. These officers included 12 officers from CBDT.

The official statement says, "Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) has compulsorily retired yet another 22 senior officers of the rank of Superintendent/AO under Fundamental Rule 56 (J) in the public interest, due to corruption and other charges and CBI traps."

The new order of forceful retirement passed by the government has been made in the name of officers KC Mandal, MS Damor, RS Gogiya, Kishore Patel, JC Solanki, SK Mandal, Govind Ram Malviya, AU Chhapargare, S Asokaraj, Deepak Ganeyan, Pramod Kumar, Mukesh Jain, Navneet Goyal, Achintya Kumar Pramanick, VK Singh, DR Chaturvedi, D Ashok, Leela Mohan Singh and VP Singh.

Some of these officers also included the ones who dealt with the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Customers from across various zones in the country.

Corruption being the major culprit behind the slowdown of the government, this has been the need of the hour to uproot corruption and its practitioners. The steps taken by the government was necessary and is much commendable to make sure that nobody dares to opt for corruption while being employed as a government official.
