Srinivasa Gowda from Karnataka reportedly ran 100 meters in just 9.55 secs! Faster than Usain Bolt

Guwahati: He is Srinivasa Gowda (28) from Moodabidri in Dakshina Kannada district who ran 142.5 meters in just 13.62 seconds at a "Kambala" or Buffalo race in a slushy paddy field.

Believe it or not, it was almost 100 meters in just 9.55 seconds! Even the fastest man on earth Usain Bolt took 9.58 seconds to cover 100 meters.

Notably, ‘Kambala’ race is a traditional race that involves buffalo. It is a traditional seasonal buffalo race in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts’ farming community.

The picture reveals that the man is running alongside a pair of buffalo and there is water around, both the buffalo and the water are considered to be the speed restraints.

Coming to the records, the numbers cannot be equaled with Bolt’s record as the Kambala racer was running alongside a pair of buffaloes and the speed generated was also because of the animals. But the interesting fact is that the race was run in a slushy field, which can only be a speed obstacle.
