Student Commits Suicide In Jawaharlal Nehru University Campus

New Delhi: A second-year MA student of Jawaharlal Nehru University allegedly committed suicide here on Friday by hanging himself from a ceiling fan inside the campus, a police officer said. The incident was reported to police at 12 p.m. after the deceased, Rishi Joshua Thomas, sent his suicide note to the professor of the English department. “The professor immediately informed the in-charge of Mahi Mandvi hostel to check on him. Thomas stayed in Mahi Mandvi hostel in JNU campus,” DCP Devender Arya said.
