1 dead, 3 injured in road mishap at Bongaigaon district

Bongaigaon: In an accident that took place on Monday night in the Nayagaon area under Abhayapuri PS of Bongaigaon district, one person died on the spot and three were seriously injured. A Hyundai car (AS-01-Q-1347) was being followed by Goalpara Police and it met with an accident.
“The car was coming towards Bongaigaon from Goalpara and after losing control, it skidded off the highway in Nayagaon,” said a local resident. The deceased has been identified as Inul Haq and those injured are Musa Ali, Muktar Ali and Bazlur Ali. As per sources, the car had crossed the Naranarayan Bridge at a high speed without following the police signal at Pancharatna and Jogighopa.
A ladies bag and ornaments were recovered from the car whereas no female passenger was there in the car. People suspect that the men in the car were dacoits or kidnappers. According to other sources, some miscreants in a similar car had tried to kidnap two women in Agia in Goalpara district. It is suspected that the men in the car were those miscreants. But police have not said anything as yet and investigation is on.
