10-hour Dima Hasao Bandh Passes off Peacefully in Haflong, Assam

Haflong: The 10-hour Dima Hasao bandh called by Dima Hasao District Congress Committee passed off peacefully with no reports of untoward incidents on Monday. At Haflong most of the offices, banks, market remained closed. Few government offices remained open with thin attendance. The vehicles were off the road during the bandh.

The 10-hour bandh was called by Dima Hasao DCC demanding immediate arrest Debolal Gorlosa, CEM, NCHAC, immediate dissolution of the executive committee headed by Debolal Gorlosa and taking over the administrative charges of NCHAC by the Governor of Assam. Normal life was affected at Harangajao, Umrangso, Mahur and Diyungbra completely. The imapct of the bandh was partial in places like Maibang, Kalachand, Langting, Gunjung.
