10 Kg Ganja seized from Rajdhani Express at Guwahati Railway Station

Guwahati: Based on a tip-off, Guwahati Government Railway Police (GRP) on Tuesday at around 7 am recovered suspected Ganja weighing approximately 10 Kgs at platform no 1 of Guwahati Railway Station.

As per reports, the suspected Ganja was recovered from 1243 Down Rajdhani Express train (coach no A/5 & seat no 19 and A 1 seat no 46).

Government Railway Police apprehended two persons identified as Sudhanshu Kumar (20) and Raju Ansari (25) in connection with the incident.

Reportedly, Sudhanshu Kumar son of Ramesh Kumar of Vishnupuri Bhatti Road under Police Station Gardanibag, District Patna in Bihar and Raju Ansari son of Md Sahabud Ansari, Vill. Dekuli, PS Barahampur, District Buxur in Bihar.

It may also be mentioned that both the accused were traveling from Nagaland's Dimapur to Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur Railway Station at the time of their detention.

A case has been registered in connection with the incident under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
