1050 Illegal Phensedyl Bottles Seized by GRP at Guwahati Railway Station, 3 held

GUWAHATI, Sept 18: The Government Railway Police (GRP), along with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) arrested three alleged drug dealers on Monday from the railway platform of the Gauhati Railway Station. The trio was identified as Svilianthanga (30), Thanghiana (35) and Lalruatkima (39) of Mizoram. The GRP also seized 1050 bottles of Phensedyl Cough Linctus from their possession.

According to a GRP source, the bottles were concealed in 6 large bags and were packed with black colour polythene, 5 each in a packet. The accused were coming somewhere from New Delhi by the Rajdhani Express and was destined to Aizwal.

Meanwhile, all the three accused have been arrested vide GRP case No. 253/18 u/s 22(C) NDPS Act.
