11 seriously injured  in road mishap

Tezpur, Oct 5: Around 11 persons sustained serious injuries in a tragic road accident that took place at Rangapara under Rangapara PS in Sonitpur district. According to sources, on Thursday, a Bolero car bearing number AS-12-E-8719 was going from Rangapara towards Khelmati market via Missamari-Rangapara road with various goods and carrying small businessmen. Suddenly a motor bike came out from No.4 line in the Borjuli tea garden area and the driver failed to control the moving vehicle which then turned turtle on the side of the road.

Businessmen Shaymal Baruah (49), Anwar Hussain (32), Abdul Rajak (26), Parameswar Shah(60), Tapas Ghosh (18), Goutam Poddar (26), Krish Goswami (26), Ajoy Poddar (26), Sujit Goswami (50), Monoranjan Das (50) and Phanibhusan Malakar (70) were on the vehicle  and they sustained serious injuries. The injured persons were taken immediately by the ambulance of Borjuli Tea Estate and other cars to the Rangapara Primary Health Centre. But considering the seriousness of injuries, later they were shifted to Tezpur Medical Hospital and College and as per report, the condition of four injured persons is critical, sources said.
