12 books released in Jorhat book fair

JORHAT, Dec 9: As many as 12 books were released at11th Jorhat book fair here at a function on Friday, which was presided over by Dr Debabrat Sharma principal of Jorhat College.

The book ‘History of Print Media of Colonial Assam and Its Impact on Contemporary Society’ was released by Dr Pabitra Pran Guswami, former principal of Jorhat College in the glittering function. The book is edited by Dr Saumitra Pujari.

Another book, ‘Politics of Small States in India with Special Reference to Northeast’, edited by Rupali Bora and Bidyut Bora was released by Professor Adil-Ull Yasin.

The book ‘Social Entrepreneurship as the Best Solution to the Problem of Much Poverty and Climate Change’, edited by Dr. Nilima Bora was released by Dr. Anil Saikia.

‘Radhakrishan’s Thought and Its Relevance in Present Society’ edited by Juli Saikia was released by educationist Binita Dutta.  The book ‘Science and Technology and Its Impact on Society’ edited by Dr. Diganta  Kumar Phukan was released by Dr. Chandan Hazarika ,Director of Post-Graduate Department of Assam Agriculture University and the book ‘Tea industry and Society in Assam: Problem and Prospects’ edited by Swapjyoti Bora was released by Dr Pradip Kumar Baruah.

The book ‘Ankuran’ written by Mukul Kandalee and Ranjita Adhyapak was released by Dr Paresh Chandra Bora, principal of CKB Commerce College, Jorhat. The book written by Ranjit Kumar Hazarika titled ‘Contemporary Issues and Challenges in Northeast was unveiled by Dr. Munindra th Konwar and the book ‘Surendra th Buraguhaine’ written by Dr Debabrat Sharma was released by Dr Saumendra th Buraguhaine.
