128 Bn CRPF organizes TT meet

Guwahati, April 20:  CRPF Inter Battalion (North East Sector) Table Tennis competition was organized from April 17 to 19 by 128 Bn CRPF at Head Quarter location, Noonmati, Guwahati amidst great mirth, verve and camaraderie. Surjit Kumar Atri,  Commandant 128 Bn, iugurated Inter Battalion (Sector) Table Tennis competition. Premjit Kumar (2nd–In-Command-129 Bn), Yamini Konwar Bhati (Dy.Commandant-128 Bn) and other unit officers and men were present during the iuguration ceremony. After march-past, the participants CRPF Bn. 10 / 48 / 67 / 120 / 128 / 129 / 136 / 156 / 175 Battalion and Group Centre, Guwahati  were formally welcomed by the commandant. This was entailed by the unfurling of respective Bn, flags and the declaration of the meet open by Commandant Surjit Kumar Atri, making the commencement of the ceremony on Monday. The Commandant administered oath to the participants. This was followed by 03 days indoor events including games in single and doubles table tennis competition amongst Battalion.

The prize distribution  ceremony was held on Wednesday. In singles the winner was 129 Bn and runnerup  was 175 Bn. In doubles the winner was 175 Bn and runnerup  was 128 Bn. In closing ceremony , the meet was declared closed by Commandant 128 Bn and respective flags of Bn were lowered, dipped  and carried for safe custody.
