16 houses gutted in fire at Seppa

Itagar, May 21: At least sixteen houses including a barrack were reportedly gutted in a devastating fire at ALC line Seppa in East Kameng district yesterday. The fire which broke out around 6:30 PM engulfed the entire area when a good number of LPG cylinders exploded one after another. However, no casualties were reported, an official report informed here today. The inferno left a trail of devastation with all the belongings of the house owners reportedly reduced to ashes. It is said at least 12 LPG cylinders exploded escalating ravaging fire to spread terribly. The fire tender arrived on the spot, just after fire broke out but failed to contain the fire, the report added.
