16 Senior Students of Central Institute of Technology Expelled for Ragging in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: As many as 16 senior students of Central Institute of Technology (CIT) have been expelled from the institute for one semester and all of them have been vacated from Jwhwlao Daimalu Boys' Hostel in Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar. The CIT authority said that on the basis of information received from deferent sources and subsequent verification of facts by the members of the Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti- Ragging Squad, a number of students have been found to be involved in ragging on August 1, 2018 at Jwhwlao Daimalu Boys' Hostel in Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar, BTC, Assam. These students are expelled from the institute for one semester with immediate effect and have been directed to vacate the hostel. All the students have been vacated from the hostel, accordingly. Kampa Borgoyary, deputy chief of BTC, said that any kind of ragging would not be tolerated.
