17 candidates file nomition papers in gaon

GAON (HAIBORGAON), March 21: On Monday a total of 17 candidates of various parties as well as independent candidates filed their nomitions for seven constituencies in gaon district. These include six candidates of BJP, one of AGP, five of AIUDF and five other candidates.

BJP candidate for gaon Sadar LAC, Rupak Sarma was accompanied by former AGP MLA and minister Girin Borua and thousands of BJP-AGP supporters while filing nomition papers. Following Sarma, BJP candidate for Batradava LAC, Angurlata Deka, BJP candidate for Samaguri LAC, Jitu Goswami, BJP candidate for Dhing LAC, Dr Mukut Devath, BJP candidate for Raha, Dimbeswar Das and BJP candidate for Rupahihat LAC, Jakaria Haque Chaudhuri along with their supporters filed their nomitions papers to the returning officers concerned in gaon. AGP candidate for Kaliabor LAC, Keshab Mahanta along with thousands of his supporters filed his nomition papers to the returning officer in Kaliabor. On the other hand, AIUDF candidates like businessman Kartik Shah, Nurul Amin Chaudhari, Sariful and other two filed their nomition papers respectively for gaon Sadar LAC, Rupahihat LAC and Borhampur LAC. Addressing media persons, all BJP candidates of the district stated that the wave was in favour of the BJP and the people of district wanted a change of power in Dispur. Interestingly, during the submission of nomition papers of BJP candidates, BJP MP Rajen Gohain was seen inside the campus of the office of the Deputy Commissioner, gaon. None of the Congress candidates filed their nomition papers on Monday.
