18 vultures found dead

DEMOW, April 22: Under Demow Panidehing Gaon Panchayat at Jamuguri Pathar near Demow, 18 vultures were found dead and two injured vultures was recovered by the local people on Saturday.

It is suspected that due to food poisoning, the vultures died. According to the local people, on Saturday when they went to bring their cows from the fields, they saw 18 dead vultures in the field and also recovered two injured vultures. A dead calf was lying in the field and local people suspect that after consuming the flesh of the calf, the vultures died.
