1st North East Olympic Games begins today

GUWAHATI: 1st North East Olympic Games will begin tomorrow at Khuman Lampak stadium, Manipur tomorrow.

The Games will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Manipur N Biren Singh. Around 2000 sportspersons from the eight states of the region- Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim- will participate in twelve different disciplines.

Three disciplines would be held on an opening day and these are Football, Boxing and Archery.
