20-year-old girl murdered, 4 arrested

Silchar, May 6: The dead body of a 20 year old girl Rekha Rikison of Chappanahal TE was found inside Chappanahal TE on Saturday evening. She had been missing from her residence since May 1. In this regard, a missing report was lodged by her father Phulchand Rikison at Udharbond police station on May 3. Later, her father also gave a written statement mentioning that his daughter had been murdered. He gave the names of the culprits involved in the heinous act. Phulchand Rikison mentioned that Sorma (Bachcha Nunu) Karmakar (20), son of late Jitu Karmakar, Raju Santhal (20), son of late Ranjit Santhal and Sajon Rikison (28), son of late Nandala Rikison, residents of the same village and  Gupta Rikison (19), son of Lakhi Rikison, a resident of Chengcoorie, Elgin TE, are involved in murder of his daughter, Rekha Rikison. A case was registered vide Udharbond police station case no 96/18 under section 366/376/302/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
