Kokrajhar, April 30: A grand discussion on the issue of peace talks with the NDFB factions and fast-track trial of jailed leaders was held at Charaguri in Bongaigaon on Sunday. Sources said more than 22 Bodo organizations participated in the meeting. The main issue discussed and deliberated was peace process and fast-track trial. The question of Bodoland also came up during deliberation. All the Bodo leaders present unanimously opined that when NDFB was under armistice, fast-track trial and peace process could not go simultaneously.
The meeting was attended and addressed by the president of ABSU, Promod Boro, general secretary of the NDFB (P), Gobinda Basumatary, renowned historian of West Bengal, Hiracharan Narzinary and others.
