27 children injured in road accident

Itagar, March 13: At least 27 people including 20 children, sustained injuries when the bus they were travelling turned turtle at NH 415 near Shiv Mandir in between Itagar and harlagun today, police said. The school bus of Little Angel School at Ganga here, carrying 27 people on board met with the accident at around 8.30 AM due to mechanical failure, Itagar Police Station OC T Bage informed.  The bus was on its way to the church at Doimukh, around 30 kilometers from here. All the passengers who sustained minor injuries have been admitted at Heema Hospital here and later release after first aids. Though the driver of the bus absconded, but later police arrested him, Bage said. A case has been registered in this connection, he added.
