27th district assembly of Inner Wheel Club ‘Karvaan’ held at Siliguri

SILCHAR: The 27th district assembly of Inner Wheel Club ‘Karvaan’ was held at Siliguri recently where members from 24 clubs of the district 324 attended. In the programme, Inner Wheel Club of Hailakandi which is at its blooming stage was highly appreciated which was formed on May 25, 2018. The club has done excellent work on TEACH programme, maternity and child care, programme on women’s empowerment, community-based projects to take away the awards as the Young Innovative club of the district. President Tanushree Chanda was awarded most young and innovative president of the District. The secretary of club Anupa Chakraborty was awarded most hard working secretary.

The club also got the best reporting award and certificate for excellence in vocational training where women were engaged in sewing training. Above all, the Bharati Dutta Award was adjusted for excellent support to TEACH programme and creating two Happy schools. Moreover, the District chairman Puspa Golchha presented a memento of love and appreciation to Tanushree for her success during her tenure. The programme was hosted by Siliguri club. Exchange of flag was also done with various clubs. In this programme the vice-president of Inner Wheel club was also present.
