39th Kalaigaon Kendriya Rongali Bihu celebrated from April 21

KALAIGAON: The Kalaigaon Kendriya Rongali Bihu Sanmilani celebrated its 39th Kendriya Rongali Bihu with a three-day long programme in the premises of Kalaigaon Inspection Bungalow from April 21. The first day started with the lighting of lamp and flag hosting. After that homage ceremony, plantation of sapling, Bihuwan offering, sports competition, open Bihu competition and other competitions were held.

Longnit Terang, Superintendent of Police of Udalguri, released a souvenir, Rongilis in the open meeting. Several dignitaries like EM Jagadish Sarkar, MLA Maheshwar Baro, Circle Officer Biraj Kr. Barua, social worker Mahendra Shaikia and Kamiram Saharia took part in this open meeting. A cultural programme was also organized in which popular artiste Bipin Chaudang performed. This programme was inaugurated by Rajib Kr. Deka, director of the SRD Group of Mangaldai.
