GUWAHATI, June 27: The Court of the Special Judge on Wednesday sentenced Wahid Ali, former employee of Gauhati High Court, to four years rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 8 lakh with reference to a disproportionate assets case registered by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Cell of Assam Police. Earlier, the CBI had arrested Ali in another case concerning financial irregularities in the Gauhati High Court. The trail in this regard is still on.
