Itanagar, July 25: The Arunachal Pradesh government is planning to provide electrification to 44,806 villages by December end this year under Saubhagya scheme.
“We will provide electrification to 44806 unelectrified households by December 31 while 39376 villages will be on –grid connections and 5430 villages will be on off-grid, which will make cent per cent electrification,” government spokesman Bamang Felix told reporters here today.
Presenting the report card of the two years of Pema Khandu-led BJP government in the state, Felix informed that the state government recently launched Sarkaar Aapke Dwar initiative where all the departments will hold administrative camps in cluster of villages to cover the entire state in next 4 months.
“This will ensure on the spot delivery of services. Apart from that, CM Dashboard has been created to monitor all the PM and CM flagship schemes running in the state,” he disclosed.
Stating that 60 PM flagship programmes and 9 CM flagship programmes were running in the state, Felix said that the state government was taking all the efforts to ensure that the schemes reach to the last mile.
From day one, our government have been focusing on transparency and ensuring that the benefit of government schemes reach to the last man standing,” he said. On panchayat elections as directed by the Gauhati High Court to hold before December 31 this year, the spokesman said that the government has no ill intention as some political parties have been alleging.
“We have shifted from the existing 3 tier system to 2 tier system for which necessary rules and regulations has to be put in place. Massive time taking process involves in the ground like delimitation process, voters enrolment process to make a fool proof system. As and when these processes complete, we will hold the elections,” he said.
