68 schools participate in prize money quiz competition

Dibrugarh, September 5: Sukanya Dutta of St Xaviers School ; Arb Handique of Sampoor Kendriya Vidyalaya ; Geetartho of B.L.Beria School ; Aariyan Deb of Saint Mary’s School ; Amartya Kaushik of Saint Mary’s harkatia ; Mankishor Baruah of Rajgarh Academy Centre ; Suraj Karmakar of Rajgarh Vidya Niketan and Deepshikha of Khowang Jatiya Vidyalay, are the students who qualified for the mega fil round of the fourth edition prize money quiz competition Letz Quiz which was organized under the aegis of DJ Group at the District Library Auditorium on Sunday.

Out of the 68 schools which had participated in the quiz contest, only eight schools of the district entered into the mega fil round.

In the presence of chief guest, vice-president of Axam Xahitya Xabha, Padmashri Prahlad Tasa, the quiz master Faridur Rahman declared Arb and Sukanya as champion and Arb as champion of champion. In the prize distribution ceremony, attended by chief guest Prahlad Tasa, founder director of DJ Group, Dibyajyoti Das ; and secretary of E-Lep Society, Pooja Sarmah, the champion team was awarded with the cash prize of Rs 10,000, running shield , two champions trophies, and a citation. Trophies were also presented to the other participating teams. In the first phase of the competition, Tanmay Neog was presented with the highest scorer award and citation while Saint Mary’s School, Dibrugarh received the best performing school award.
