GOHPUR, June 26: Acting on a tip-off, Tilak Das, Sub-divisiol police officer of Gohpur together with his brigade have maged to seize 91 cartons of illegal liquor from the residence of wine smuggler Jitu Sharma in Hazarikachuk under Gohpur subdivision on Sunday evening. Later, Gohpur police handed over the cartons of illegal liquor to excise department. Smuggler Jitu Sharma has been selling Aruchali wine using Assam label for long periods, which are labeled in a secret floor of his residence.
