A free cataract detection and eye check-up camp organized by Lions Club of Silchar Lioness and Youths Against Social Evils

Silchar: A free cataract detection and eye check-up camp was jointly organized by Lions Club of Silchar Lioness (LCSL) and Youths Against Social Evils (YASE) at Garden Hospital of Urrunabond tea estate of Udharbond on Monday. A total number of 120 patients were examined by Dr Jhalak Debroy and supporting staff. They were given free medicines and 40 of them were given free spectacles too. Moreover, 20 patients were detected cataract and were brought to Lions Eye Hospital (LEH), Silchar for free operation. On behalf of LCSL president Sakhi Bhattacharjee and treasurer Paromita Paul were present and on behalf of YASE central committee president Sanjeev Roy, assistant treasurer Dinesh Kahar, Chandan Goala, Prakash Ree, Ashok Kurmi, Nandi Goala, Mukesh Karmakar, Kanai Tanti, Bappon Kahar and others were present.
