GUWAHATI, July 29: A team of qualified instructors of 1st Battalion National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are imparting flood rescue techniques & motorized boat handling & maintenance training to 30 personnel of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) deployed in Assam from July 23 to August 4 at Palasbari, Mirza in Guwahati.
With a target to train 90 personnel of CRPF, 1st Battalion NDRF has already trained 30 personnel of CRPF in the 1st batch from July 2 to July 14. 2nd batch of 30 personnel of CRPF is undergoing & 3rd batch of 30 personnel is planning from August 6 to August 18.
“Reducing losses through disaster response training initiatives is our top priority for disaster risk reduction,” said sh S K Sastri, Commandant, NDRF Guwahati. 1st National Disaster Response Force has so far trained 2112 SDRF personnel of NE states, the press release said.
