‘A tiol movement of epic proportion’

Itagar, Jan 20: “Digi Dhan Mela is a tiol movement of epic proportion,” said Aruchal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu while referring to the Digidhan Abhiyan launched by the Prime Minister in all over India for promoting digital transaction. In his message conveyed through Animal Husbandry & Veteriry Minister Dr Mohesh Chai, who read the message in the mammoth gathering at IG Park here, Khandu expressed his deepest regret of not being persolly present in the important function as his mother in law expired Thursday night. “I had cancelled all my engagements to be present for the day-long Digi dhan Mela,” he said. “Unfortutely, due to an uvoidable circumstance, I had to leave for my hometown. The Abhiyan launched by our Prime Minister for promoting digital transactions through the Digi Dhan Mela is a tiol Movement of epic proportion. The people and the state government will leave no stone unturned to be the front-runner in this tiol movement,” he said in his message. Aruchal Pradesh is largely a government driven economy and therefore when all the institutiol and government transactions are made digital, large portion of the state’s economy automatically becomes cashless, the chief minister said. “It will be the earnest and sincerest endeavour of my government towards this goal,” the message read further. It is worth mentioning that Khandu has been from the day one promoting digital governce in the state. He initiated and signed the first e-file on August 16 last year, while several digital programmes launched on the brief span of time.
