AACWA plea for good roads

Itagar, April 1: The All Aruchal Contractor’s Welfare Association (AACWA) has urged the PWD department to maintain the quality and proper widening of CC pavements works in the capital complex. AACWA through a press release has questioned the measurement uniformity of the roads wherein the breadth of the road is only 3.75 meters particularly in harlagun compared to that of 6 meters in other parts of the capital which leads to immense traffic congestion during peak hours.

Stating that for free traffics movements that breadth of roads has to be at least 6 meters as costly projects for beautification of capital roads has been sanctioned but the department was not following the said procedure.

“Apart from the width of the road the retaining of wall, RCC Culverts, draige should be also constructed in one way program of the said projects,” said AACWA General Secretary bam Akin Hi. “AACWA will carry our site inspection of various multi crore funding schemes in state particulars to detect the quality of works and implementation of projects as per DPR of schemes,” he added. Further in relation to the bandh calls the union questioned the statement made by Legislative Speaker of State Assembly, bam Rebia questioning him about the support the state government had provided to investors for setting up industries and factories.

“Bandhs are called by organization only when democratic movements do not work and all the bandhs are in the welfare and interest of the public.” added the statement.
