AAKJSU reiterates demand for ST status to Kalita community

PATHSALA, June 22: A meeting of Bajali district AAKJSU was held on Tuesday under the president ship of district president Dhrubajyoti Kalita regarding the future plan of AAKJSU in Bajali district. State president Anupal Dutta Pathak was also present and he said that that all the MLAs of Kalita Jagosthi had to unite and speak up in the Assembly regarding granting ST status to 70 lakh Kalita Jagosthi people of Assam. He also said that the government had to fulfill the demand of AAKJSU before August 15. District president Dhrubajyoti Kalita said that they would send 40,000 letters from Bajali district to the Prime Minister regarding the demand.
