AAPPP puts forward its demands to government

Itagar, Feb 17: The All Aruchal Pradesh Panchayat Parishad (AAPPP) has called for regularization of all levels of contractual staffs under the Panchayati Raj Department, implementation of 2nd state Fince Commission recommendation, early notification of ZPCs as district planning committee chairman, appointment of district Panchayat development officer, and establishment of engineering wings for Panchayati Raj and Rural Development departments. This was decided at a meeting of the All Aruchal Pradesh Panchayat Parishad on Thursday.

AAPPP President Susil lo in his address said that several representations have been submitted to the state government regarding the fulfilment of its demands. Addressing the gathering, AAPPP General Secretary Sangha Tajik said that despite several representations, powers have not been devolved to the Panchayati Raj Institutions. At least six ZPCs attended the meeting.
