AAPSU launches operation clean drive

ITANAGAR: The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) on Friday launched state wide Operation clean Drive (OCD) in the entire districts of the State on checking illegal immigrants after the final disclose of NRC draft at neighboring state Assam.

The AAPSU expressed satisfaction over the successful drive against the Inner Line Permit (ILP) Violators in the State. The union thanked the State government, police department, district administration, market welfare societies, community based organization, District students’ union and all well-wishers of the State for supporting the movement.

OCD Chairman Tatung Taga stated that the AAPSU with the help police has driven out more than one thousand ILP violators from the capital complex today.

“While the respective District Students’ Union has also carried the drive and shall submit their reports within this week," he added. “The OCD shall also continue with its movement to see that no stone remains unturned to check illegal settlement in the state without proper permit," Taga added. The AAPSU in the meantime also mourned the demise of the former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
