AASAA demands immediate repair of Hari Pora Road

DEMOW, July 4: The historic Hari Pora Road is in a dilapidated condition due to which commuters face problems. Activists of the All Adivasi Students Association of Assam (AASAA) Demow Regional Committee, protested against the poor condition of the road by burning tyres and staging road blockade on Tuesday. A memorandum was also submitted to the Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar through the Demow Circle Officer on Tuesday.

In the memorandum, the AASAA, Demow Regional Committee demanded that the Demow to Deroi connecting road should be repaired and passenger vehicle fares from Demow to Deroi and from Demow to Mahkhuti should be decreased, along with various other demands.
