AAU-North East Institute of Bio Technology to be inaugurated on Nov 19

JORHAT: Assam Agricultural University (AAAU) will add another feature to its cap after the inauguration on another institute which will be known as AAU-North East Institute of Bio Technology. It will be inaugurated by AAU Vice-Chancellor Dr. Kamal Malla Bujarbaruah at the AAU-DBT Centre premises on Nov 19 in presence of scientific experts, advisers and chairman from the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.

The new institute will be an independent institute which will run all types of projects for the north-eastern region but will be controlled and run by the AAU administration directly.

It will provide fellowship and support research associates for various projects which will help to promote bio-technology research in all fields of agriculture, medicine and industry, including nano technology.
