Absconding Treasury Officer Arrested At Chowdhury Tila By Dispur And Karbi Anglong Police

GUWAHATI: Dispur police and Karbi Anglong police conducted a joint raid at Chowdhury Tila on Monday and unearthed absconding Treasury Officer Amarendra Sharma. Sharma worked in Diphu Treasury Office and was charged with financial irregularities after he was found accepting bribe in the name of passing of bill. A case (70/19) was registered against him at Diphu police station. He was suspended on April 10, 2019. Sharma has been handed over to Diphu police authorities.
